Don’t forget the angels in your life,
They are around you in the form of family and/or friends,
They laugh with you in your good times,
Hold your hands when you are down and hurt,
Protect you from the negative elements
In unobtrusive ways.
Not asking for credit or recognition
But are always there for you.
Close your eyes and look around you,
You will feel them by your side
Look at them closely and you may see the wings and aura
See the smiles that light up their faces when they see you?
Hear the love in their voice even over the phone?
I found mine.
Life has given me special angels that have been with me in good times and bad.
Thank you for being with me.

I recognise the one on the left in the picture. I have one exactly like it here with me.

Yes dear, I believe that’s the one I brought to watch over you. If you look at the other one carefully, you will recognize it too. The dove is precariously perched on her hand and has fallen off several times. And see the little curl in the middle of her forehead? 🙂

Incidentally, they both have curls on their foreheads. I wonder if some of your angels are the ones who “when [they’re] good, they’re very, very good…but when [they’re] bad…” you know. 🙂
And, yes, that is the one you gave me. It sits in my living room looking at me when I walk in the door, making sure I’m home safe and sound everyday. 😉
We all need our own angels; I’m very glad you have found some of yours.

Oh yes, horrid? And it’s the silly curl that brings out that tendency, so one has to let it go. Because, when all is said and done, the angels are gifts sent to us in answer to prayers said by people who love us and, man it’s good to know we have them.

I too did not recognize an angel in my life.I was in my teens at that time, but the scar lives on.
“My heart is broken. Trust me, that’s not just expression, I felt it, every single bit breaking from whole. I still love her. It’s true, that first love, it’s true love, don’t you ever let it go. Fight for it, even if it seems pointless. I’ll never give up.I love you, and always will. Until dying days come. And even in death, forever urs.
I so need her. God help me.
..will love her forever and not a day less..
She doesnt wanna look at me anymore. I’ve fought all my friends blindly for her.
How is it possible that my heart beats for her, and hers beats against me?
How is it possible that I still remember and she doesn’t even care?
Memory of her is slowly fading though, but remains long enough to hurt. I wish it all could go away”.

Angels come into our lives to help us along the way and may be there for a short time or forever, it depends on what their role is. If they continue to be our angels, they will always be there. Those that left and moved on were meant to be there for a short period, once their task was over it was time to move on. Love and need are two separate feelings and emotions. Love sets you free, Need clings on and has expectations and brings frustration. I feel your pain, it took me a long time to understand that one heart beating is just not enough; if the other is not in harmony, it’s time to let go. It does not lessen the love you felt, nor does it hurt less, but it allows the healing process to begin. I hope you find peace as I have.
